A ray of hope
Business is doing so badly at the moment I feel like staying in bed all day. The village is deserted most of the time and nothing has sold via the online shop since my first sale. It's soul destroying to say the least and frustrating as I have full faith in my business. About half of all people who visit the shop actually buy something and that is an amazing conversion rate.
Publicity wise, I am doing really well. Either I or the shop get mentioned in magazines or websites on a regular basis. The Ibiza Photo Competition went well for its first year with one hundred and eighty photo entries. I already have about ninety members of the new group, the video is bringing visitors to the website and has been published on other blogs, and people contact me regularly about it. I think I've hit on a really good idea with that one.
Unfortunately people are simply not prepared to spend money. I've just reduced the price of a lot of the stock in the online shop, some of my re-designed jewellery now at cost, but I fear even 90% reductions could go unrewarded.
But a minute ago a ray of hope appeared; a young couple made a viewing of the premises opposite my shop with the prospect of turning it into an Italian Pizzeria, just what I had been hoping for.
I just have to keep hoping.

Does exist typical Ibizan cuisine? I mean, not paella only. Can you tell me do local people go out, in restaurants and bars, during winter time? How are your relationships with local people, and do you speak spanish language.
Sorry for too many questions.
P.S. I know very well these situations when we need a lot of hope.
Keep my fingers crossed.(On both hands!)
