Peaks in a trough
What a gloomy day today?! It poured down until 11am and then I sat on my stool at my computer and read loads of gloomy news, trying to not think about my dia situation...and failing.
But it only takes a few little things to happen to make a gloomy day a good day for me.
My best client, a Spanish man, came in and bought three antiques. Three! Thank you Lord! He also brought Lottie a bar of chocolate so her day was made too. We chat in Spanish and although my Spanish is terrible, we manage to understand each other, often having in depth conversations about current affairs.
Then, after hours of no-one coming in, another Spanish man came to chat to me. He is the tour guide of the coach trips that stop off at San Carlos. Thanks to my requests, people are now left to wander the village for three quarters of an hour and not fifteen minutes. Lovely.
This man is so funny as he's been considering buying a ring from me for a year and a half. One day he will buy it I'm sure but in the meantime I enjoy his banter. Today he complained about it 'raining cats and dogs' and said, 'What shall we do with the drunken sailor?'. Little things to make me chuckle.
And tonight I am going out for the first time in a month to Grial, Bombay Lounge and most likely Pacha just to keep my toe in the water....can't leave too big a gap or it will become impossible to get my old body in gear.
I'll take my camera ;)
